review of 'Twisted' on Friday.
"The Violets glare at us. There are three of them. She is a femme fatal half Siouxsie Sioux half Debbie Harry. Him on the guitar is all twisted and introverted dancing his small spot of space in to the ground. There is a drummer too. I heard this band formed on a car bonnet. The drum beats clank and bang like they were fixing the inside of one. It's wretched and cool. There is no melodies and I'm glad of it. If you like your punk for real and devoid of poncy fashion; if you want to see a band make you shiver in the cold; that can pass you an icy stare; if you want to feel you are in the presence of class and suave, this band will leave you with a lingering kiss and the sweet perfume of violets on your collar."
