found this from www.theporter.co.uk Polishing off the evening with The Violets. This was a night for 3 pieces. Main attraction was Alexis, singer, leaping around stage like a gazelle. She was like a blonde Souixie Soux with the voice to match. This was an accusing prowess taunting the men in the audience by hitching up her skirt and stealing their cigarettes! She even told one guy to F^%* off! The music consisted of a reverberating guitar, sometimes clean and snappy. There was only a drummer to compliment him making it sound empty but claustrophobic. At times the drums and guitar interlocked perfectly doing a kind of question-answer thing. No shrinking Violets to be seen on any planet! Miss Gardiner.
