Re: Alternative Malta review
Women swear The Swear >>Repeat it, Repeat it<< There is absolutely nothing I like more than a female-fronted shouty punk band, and London’s ‘The Swear’ is just that. Loud and punchy, The Swear do their job on this new EP. The first track is sung by a male and to is the weakest track on ‘Repeat it’, but from there onwards the EP picks up and gets very exciting. Tycie West has a very loud and clear voice that alternates between cute and menacing. Combine this with power-pop chords and you’ve got something great. The highlight is the track ‘Retail Therapy’. It’s bubblegum punk of the K Records school and damn catchy, and when that chorus (‘I don’t worry I’ve got you, we’ll take a holiday for two’) comes in you feel like jumping. I love it. In short this band has a lot of spunk and I can’t wait till the next release to get my adrenaline running again! http://www.paul.camyouths.com/am/theswear.htm It's great to read a review where the person who wrote it doesn't have some dumb agenda and is intelligent enough to actually mention the music in language easily understood. hali fucking luya whoops i swore tom phobic
